The AGC Group’s products have been used in Tokyo SkytreeⓇ, a new landmark in Tokyo that opened to the public on May 22, 2012.
AGC’s laminated glass called Myboka™, a heatresistant tempered glass with fire-resistance and safety features, has been used in the glass floor of the observation deck “Tembo Deck.” It allows visitors to look down far below to the foot of the tower. In addition, Cool verre™, laminated glass that filters out infrared rays, is used in the windows to protect visitors from the heat of the sun.
The outer steel frames have been coated with chemicals made from Lumiflon™, a fluoropolymer resin for coatings which helps maintain the structure‘s appearance over many years.
The AGC Group’s excellent technologies in glass and chemicals have contributed to enhancing the comfort and beauty of Tokyo SkytreeⓇ.
