Project Over View

Allianz-Arena is a football stadium located in the football-loving city of Munich, Germany. AGC’s ETFE Film, which is used for the stadium walls, is a type of glass material that successfully protects spectators from wind and rain while allowing light to shine onto the natural grass. ETFE Film has a 90% solar transmission rate and is both lighter-weight and more grime-resistant than glass.

The excellent flexibility of ETFE Film conjures up images of delicate softness. The film’s high transmission rate enables fine adjustment and diffusion of light, which creates fantastic lighting decoration of the arena.

Approximately 200,000 square meters of ETFE Film is used in Allianz-Arena. The AGC Group is the only company in the world capable of producing that much of volume from raw materials up to finished products.

Allianz-Arena combines design and functions, and its construction would not have been possible without AGC’s technology.
